I recently bought a house in Hamilton. One of the key issues I found in the house was that the previous owner used varying types of wooden/vinyl floor planks in the bedrooms. I wanted the ground floor to have the same type of wooden floor. John was able to come over to my house to perform the measurements and observations. He indicated that the floors in two of the rooms were not at an even keel. And the sub-flooring needed to be aligned in order to ensure that they are even. As I have not done this before, this observation of his built my confidence towards his workmanship quality. I found him very detailed oriented. I liked the quality of the work and the communication he provided. I will work with John again at any time for any flooring related projects.

John did a great job on my basement apartment renovation from start to finish. He was able to walk the original basement and create a new layout. The new layout made the most use of natural light, maximized the height of the basement and minimized the bulk heads. This apartment feels spacious, has great storage, and best of all a big bathroom!

John came highly recommended and did not disappoint! From design advice, to demo, to rough in, to finishes, everything was top notch and very professional. John put in the long hours when required to keep the project on schedule and his work ethic throughout was second to none.  We were amazed at the quality of workmanship as well as the depth of his knowledge. Thanks again John for the amazing bathroom! Can’t wait to get you back for the kitchen next year!

John was awesome. He did great work in the time he quoted for the price he quoted, really can’t ask for anything more than that. Having him in our home felt easy and comfortable. We’ll definitely try to book him in for our next project.

If you’re lucky enough to get on John’s schedule, your home is in good hands! I don’t think this guy takes days off, the speed and quality he puts into every job is not easy to find in the industry. When we are lucky enough to plumb his jobs we’re always amazed on how organized and prepared he is.

John built our bathroom shower and tiled the floor. He was very detail oriented and professional. He guided us through from designing to picking materials. Some materials were hard to find, he went above and beyond to help us find the best suited materials to ensure everything is finished nicely and correctly. We received so many compliments from our family and friends.

John spent over 2 months building a new basement for us in Spring 2024. I can’t say enough good things about him. John is conscientious and true to his word. He gave us an accurate initial estimate for the costs, and throughout the 2 months, he was right on schedule. John is also very prompt and courteous in communication, and he was very good about checking in with me about any important decisions as they came up. He is hard-working: he showed up every day at 8:30AM and worked straight through until late in the afternoon. He’s considerate: he kept things as clean as possible, and would always tidy up before leaving — every single day. He is the kind of person I felt completely comfortable having in my home, because he genuinely treats it “as if it were his own home”. (That kind of thing is easy to say, and many people do say it, but in John’s case it is really true.) After 2 months of working with him, I honestly can’t think of a single negative thing to say about John or about working with him. We hope to have John back in our home for other projects in the future, and we will certainly be recommending him to any friends and neighbors who need work done on their home. I’ve just given him 5 stars out of 5, but honestly, he deserves even more.
